Courant Constant (mA)
Power mode (ex: 350mA, 700mA) ensuring stable brightness and avoiding overheating.
Convertisseur (ou Driver)
Element transforming the mains current (230V) into a voltage or constant current suitable for LEDs.
Branchement en Parallèle
Mounting used for LED strips (constant voltage). Each source receives the same voltage independently.
Branchement en Série
Assembly where the current passes through each LED one after the other (standard for constant current). Attention: an interruption cuts the entire circuit.
Tunable White
Technology allowing the temperature to vary from white (from warm to cold) to adapt to the circadian rhythm.
Optique
Lens or reflector placed in front of the LED to direct the beam (accentuation or ambiance).
Kelvin (K) / Température de couleur
Flux Lumineux (Lumen)
Total amount of light emitted by a source. Not to be confused with power (Watt).
CRI / IRC (Indice de Rendu des Couleurs)
Ability of a light to reproduce natural colors. Our products display an IRC > 95, standard of excellence for luxury and museums.
Binning (ou MacAdam)
Process of sorting LEDs according to their color. We select very tight “bins” (Step 2 or 3) to ensure perfect uniformity throughout a project.
