FAQ
At Gandelin, we conceive lighting as a subtle alliance between high technology and craftsmanship. From our workshops in Vienna, we accompany architects, lighting designers and installers in the realization of exceptional projects. Whether you’re looking for technical details on our solid brass finishes or want to understand our sustainability commitments, this FAQ is designed to give you a clear and immediate answer.
1. The Company and the Know-how
Where are Tekni-Led products manufactured?
All our luminaires are designed and manufactured in France, in our workshops in Vienne (Isère). We perpetuate a know-how of more than 50 years inherited from Gandelin lighting.
Do you work custom?
Yes, it’s our specialty. Thanks to our integrated design office, we can adapt our existing models (finishes, opening angles, power) or design completely new solutions for your architectural projects.
What materials do you use?
We favor noble and durable materials, notably solid brass, steel, and aluminum, worked with artisanal precision.
2. Technical Specifications & Quality
Where can I find technical information about the products (materials, finishes, available colors)?
All detailed information is accessible directly on our website for each reference. For each product, you will find: • Individual technical sheets: On each product page, a complete description details the consumption, light output (Lumens), CRI (often >95) and dimensions. A download button also allows you to retrieve the datasheet in PDF format. • Materials and Finishes: We mainly use noble materials such as solid brass, aluminum, and steel. The available finishes (Chrome, Nickel, Patinas, Bronze, RAL colours via our integrated paint booth) are specified in the configuration options of each luminaire. • Colour temperatures: Our LED sources are generally available in 2700K (Very Warm White), 3000K (Warm White) or 4000K (Neutral White), selectable directly before adding to the basket or on request. • Complete catalogues: For an overview of our ranges (Interior, Exterior, LED Strips), you can consult or download our catalogues.
What is IRC and why is it important at Tekni-Led?
The Colour Rendering Index (CRI) measures the ability of a light source to faithfully reproduce colours. Our products generally display an IRC > 95, ensuring a natural look that is ideal for art galleries, luxury boutiques and high-end homes.
Are your lights dimmable?
The majority of our products are available in dimmable versions (Phase, DALI, 1-10V or Casambi). This option must be specified during your order to ensure compatibility with your management systems.
What color temperature do you offer?
Our standards are 2700K (very warm white) and 3000K (warm white). However, on request, we can equip our luminaires with sources ranging from 2200K to 4000K, or with "Tunable White" solutions.
3. Installation and Maintenance
Are the power supplies included with the fixtures?
It depends on the range. Some of our products (Class III) require a remote converter. This information is systematically indicated on the technical sheet of each product.
Can I install your products outdoors?
We offer specific ranges with an IP rating suitable for outdoor use (IP44, IP65, etc.). Please refer to the "Outdoor Light" category to see compatible models.
Is it possible to replace the LED source?
In a sustainable approach, our luminaires are designed to be repairable. Unlike disposable products on the market, the LED source or driver can often be replaced by us or a qualified professional.

Do you offer photometric files (IES/LDT)?

5. Guarantees and after-sales service
What is the warranty period of your products?
Our luminaires benefit from a manufacturer warranty of 3 to 5 years (depending on the models and use), testifying to the reliability of our components.
